Ayobo-Ipaja, Lagos state - The chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Lagos State, Mrs. Bolatito Shobowale, has succumbed to an undisclosed sickness.
The acting chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA, Otunba Ladi Oluwaloni (OLO 1), announced the tragic incident in a heartfelt tribute on Friday, March 21, 2025.

As reported by Vanguard, Oluwaloni described Shobowale’s death as both shocking and devastating.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu sworn in Oluwaloni as acting chairman just days ago following the prolonged absence of the substantive chairman.
He disclosed that he received the sad news while on an official assignment at the Lagos State Secretariat.
“Hon. Chief (Mrs.) Shobowale was more than a leader; she was a mother, a mentor, and a pillar of strength to many. Her passion for grassroots development, resilience in governance, and deep love for the people of Ayobo-Ipaja will never be forgotten,”
Oluwaloni emphasized that her legacy of selfless service, integrity, and commitment to good governance would continue to inspire future generations.
Shobowale championed infrastructural development, improved healthcare, and community empowerment initiatives, laying a strong foundation that continues to benefit residents.
The visionary leader played a pivotal role in the growth and transformation of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA.

Where is Ayobo-Ipaja in Lagos state?
Ayobo is a suburb in Alimosho local government area of Lagos State.
It is the last town in Lagos bordering Aiyetiro, Ogun State. Ayobo is a town with about 10 sub-towns under it.
Legit.ng earlier reported that former President Olusegun Obasanjo's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Dubem Onyie, passed away at the age of 73.
A source close to the deceased confirmed the sad news, saying that the former minister died in Abuja on Monday, March 10, 2025.
Onyie was first elected as a House of Representatives member before resigning to become former President Obasanjo's minister.
Doyin Okupe, ex-Presidential aide, is dead
Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that Doyi Okupe, a former presidential aide and an ex-director general of the Peter Obi Presidential Campaign, died at 72 years old.
Okupe, a medical expert who turned politician, was said to have passed away in the early hours of Friday, March 7, 2025.
The late politician served as media aide to former President Olusegun Obasanjo and spokesperson to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan.
