    Kids' behaviours during flight

Travelling with a toddler could be a big challenge as parents have to manage how their children respond to change in routines and other erratic behaviours.

Epassportphoto noted that around 29% of American parents agreed that disruption in routine is a big cause for their children's tantrums during flights. It also said that changing children's meals could also be a reason for their tantrums.

An unfamiliar environment is another reason why children become irritable during air travel.

How to manage kids during flight

As a way to overcome this, Parents said:

"If traveling with toddlers or young children, consider booking an early morning departure. These early flights give you the best chance of avoiding delays at takeoff and landing...
"Airports tend to be less crowded first thing in the morning. Once you get on the plane, "everyone is tired and just wants to nap - kids especially."

Another solution according to the same resource is talking to one's kid about the travel before embarking on it so they know what to expect. A mother of three, Shireen, who spoke to Parents said that watching visual content that talks about the air travel could be of great help.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that a mother booked a flight and gave her child her first flying experience as a way to reward her sterling academic performance.

The mother said that despite the delay they had on the road, she still had to change at the airport before they boarded their flight.

Joseph Omotayo, HOD of Human Interest Desk, contributed to this article, adding ways to manage kids' tantrums during air travels.
