United Kingdom - Bisola Kolapo Kola-Daisi, the first child of former governor of Oyo state, Abiola Ajimobi, has passed on at the age of 42.

It was gathered that Bisola died after a brief illness in the United Kingdom (UK).

As reported by The Nation, former Senator Teslim Folarin confirmed the incident on Thursday, March 27, 2025.

She reportedly died in the early hours of Thursday, March 27, in the United Kingdom.

Late Ajimola’s daughter was a special adviser to the minister of Budget and Planning, Atiku Bagudu, in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

She was married to Idris Kolapo Kola-Daisi, with whom she shared three lovely children.

Senator Sharafadeen Alli, representing Oyo South Senatorial District in the 10th National Assembly, described Bisola's death as a tragic and painful loss, not just to her family but to Oyo State and the nation at large.

According to the Guardian, Alli said the deceased was a brilliant and accomplished professional whose contributions would be sorely missed.

He extended his heartfelt condolences to her husband and her beloved mother, Chief (Mrs) Florence Ajimobi.

The federal lawmaker prayed that God grant the entire Kola-Daisi and Ajimobi families the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.

Senator Alli urged friends, associates, and the people of Oyo State to stand in solidarity with the grieving families, offering prayers and support as they navigate this moment of sorrow.

Legit.ng also reported that Jigawa state governor, Umar Namadi, lost his son, Abdulwahab Umar Namadi, in a fatal car accident.

He was thrown into mourning barely a day after the reported passing of his mum, Hajiya Maryam Namadi Hamisu.

Former Oyo governor Ajimobi dies after battling COVID-19

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that the immediate past governor of Oyo state, Abiola Ajimobi died on Thursday, June 25, 2020, after a serious battle with COVID-19.

Until his death, the former governor was the deputy national chairman (south) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Ajimobi was hospitalised at the First Cardiologist and Cardiovascular Consultants Hospital, Lagos on June 2, 2020, but he never recovered from the pandemic and died at the age of 70.
